It views this agreement, signed by Syrian Minister of Communications and Information Technology Abdul Salam Heikal and Saudi Minister of Transport and Logistics Saleh bin Nasser Al-Jasser, as a genuine opportunity to modernize the Syrian postal sector and benefit from advanced Saudi expertise, thus contributing to supporting digital transformation and improving services provided to citizens.
However, the Syrian Future Movement emphasizes that the success of this agreement depends on the speed and effectiveness of its implementation and the ability of the relevant institutions to translate its provisions into tangible projects that benefit the national economy and the Syrian citizen.

First: Boosting e-commerce. The agreement focuses on establishing the necessary foundations for e-commerce growth and developing postal services that complement the digital transformation. Second: Modernizing the Syrian postal sector and leveraging Saudi expertise to modernize the Syrian Postal Corporation and expand its service and development role. We believe that the postal sector in Syria is in dire need of rehabilitation and development, particularly in the areas of modern technologies, logistics, and supply chain management, to meet international standards.
Third: Continuing the momentum of Saudi-Syrian economic cooperation. We observe that this agreement is part of a series of joint economic initiatives, including the establishment of a joint Saudi-Syrian bank, port development and trade facilitation, and major strategic projects in aviation, water, communications, and infrastructure. - Enhancing transparency and monitoring by establishing oversight mechanisms and conducting periodic follow-up on the agreement’s implementation, and announcing progress regularly to ensure transparency and strengthen trust between institutions and citizens.
