Young man Mohammed Ayman Al-Dabbour martyred by gunfire from the occupying Zionist entity in Quneitra.

The Syrian Future Movement follows with deep sorrow and condemnation the killing of 22-year-old Syrian national Mohammad Ayman Al-Dabbour—from the town of Jaba in the Quneitra countryside—by the forces of the occupying Zionist entity. The incident occurred on the night of Sunday, October 4, 2026, in the vicinity of Al-Hamidiyah village in the northern Quneitra countryside.
The Syrian Future Movement views this heinous crime as part of a systematic and ongoing escalation of Israeli violations in southern Syria. It underscores that the occupation knows no bounds, continuing to claim the lives of innocent civilians without facing deterrence or accountability.

The Syrian Future Movement notes that Al-Dabbour’s body was handed over to the Golan National Hospital in the city of Al-Salam (Quneitra) following joint efforts by the Syrian Arab Red Crescent and the United Nations Disengagement Observer Force (UNDOF), amidst a state of local mobilization and widespread public anger across the governorate.

The Syrian Future Movement maintains that while this handover is of humanitarian importance, it cannot erase the crime, absolve the occupation of responsibility for the killing, or restore the life of a young man whose future was stolen in cold blood.

The Syrian Future Movement records the precise details of the crime as documented by official and human rights sources:

Regarding the conflicting accounts, the Zionist occupation army claimed to have opened fire on two Syrians riding a motorcycle, alleging that they were attempting to infiltrate an Israeli military site within the so-called “security zone” in southern Syria. Conversely, the official Syrian “Al-Ekhbariya” channel reported that the young man’s body had arrived at Golan National Hospital; he was a civilian from the town of Jaba and did not belong to any military faction.

The Syrian Future Movement considers these repeated Zionist claims regarding “infiltration attempts” to be a transparent pretext used to justify the daily killing of civilians. It maintains that the official Syrian account—corroborated by local testimonies—reveals the reality of the systematic targeting of unarmed civilians.

The Syrian Future Movement views the killing of the young man, Al-Dabbour, not as an isolated incident, but as the latest link in a long chain of daily Zionist violations across Quneitra, Daraa, and the Damascus countryside.

The Movement notes that Quneitra province alone witnessed 192 violations in September 2026, while a total of 1,068 Israeli incursions into Syrian territory have been documented since the fall of the ousted regime on December 8, 2024—an average of more than two incursions per day.

The Syrian Future Movement regards these figures as representing Syrian blood spilled, land razed, families devastated, and lives destroyed—all amidst deafening international silence and suspicious complicity. In this context, the Syrian Future Movement reiterates its steadfast positions—published on its official website—condemning repeated Israeli violations in Quneitra and southern Syria:

In its statement titled “Israeli Incursions into Daraa and Quneitra” (March 17, 2026), the Syrian Future Movement called for urgent international action to halt these grave violations, asserting that “national sovereignty is not a matter for bargaining or negotiation.”

In its statement titled “Solidarity Rally with the People of Quneitra Against Israeli Incursions” (December 20, 2025), the Movement welcomed the grassroots call for the rally and emphasized that “defending national sovereignty over all Syrian territory—including the occupied Golan and border regions—is a sacred national duty that transcends political and regional divisions.”

In its statement titled “Israeli Incursion into the Quneitra Countryside” (August 26, 2025), the Syrian Future Movement stressed its “absolute rejection of any form of occupation or foreign military incursion into Syrian territory,” deeming it “a direct threat to Syria’s unity and stability.”

The Syrian Future Movement maintains that this latest crime validates its repeated warnings and demonstrates that the Israeli occupation is pressing ahead with its expansionist agenda—targeting both lives and land—with total disregard for international law or human rights. Acting out of a sense of national responsibility, the Syrian Future Movement makes the following recommendations:

First: The Syrian Future Movement calls upon the United Nations and the Human Rights Council to establish an independent international commission of inquiry to uncover the circumstances surrounding the death of the young man, Mohammad Ayman Al-Dabbour; to determine individual accountability; and to hold the perpetrators of this crime answerable, in a manner consistent with the precedents set in similar cases within the occupied Palestinian territories.

Second: The Syrian Future Movement urges UNDOF forces and the international community to expand the scope of their mandate to include the protection of Syrian civilians in border areas, the monitoring of daily Zionist violations, and the submission of periodic reports to the Security Council, rather than limiting themselves to a role of passive observation.

Third: The Syrian Future Movement calls upon the transitional government to fulfill its obligations toward the family of the deceased by providing fair compensation and necessary care, supporting the residents of Quneitra who suffer the brunt of daily violations, and launching psychosocial support programs for those affected.

Fourth: The Syrian Future Movement calls upon the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to intensify diplomatic efforts in international forums and to work toward the issuance of binding UN resolutions compelling the Israeli occupation to cease its aggression against Syrian territory, ensure respect for the 1974 Disengagement of Forces Agreement, and withdraw occupation forces from the areas into which they have made incursions. Fifth: The Syrian Future Movement calls upon local and international human rights organizations to document all Israeli violations in Syria and submit the relevant files to the International Criminal Court, ensuring that no Israeli official escapes accountability for crimes committed against the Syrian people.

The Syrian Future Movement reiterates its strong condemnation of the killing of the young man Muhammad Ayman al-Dabbour; it extends its heartfelt condolences to the martyr’s family and the people of Quneitra, and wishes a speedy recovery to all the wounded.

The Syrian Future Movement affirms that the blood of the martyrs will not have been shed in vain, and that every drop of blood spilled on Syrian soil will remain a testament to these crimes.

…the occupation, and an impetus for greater steadfastness and resistance until the entire national territory is reclaimed.

The Syrian Future Movement asserts that the international community’s silence regarding these crimes constitutes yet another crime against humanity, and that the Israeli occupation’s continued, unchecked violation of Syrian sovereignty threatens security and peace across the entire region.

For its part, the Syrian Future Movement will continue to support all efforts that bolster the Syrian people’s steadfastness, critique any shortcomings, and monitor developments on the ground, all in pursuit of a new Syria—one that regains full sovereignty, safeguards every inch of its territory, and upholds the dignity of all its people.
