The Syrian Future Movement In reference to the statement issued by the Syrian Ministry of Interior dated [1st of Dhu al-Qi‘dah – 2025-04-29], which condemned the offense against Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, we at the Religious Office of the Syrian Future Movement affirm the sanctity of religious beliefs and stress the necessity of enacting strict laws that criminalize any offense against the sacred, based on this incident, due to its negative impact in fueling sectarian strife, destabilizing the homeland, and distracting leadership from the higher goal of establishing security and meeting citizens’ needs.
The Syrian Future Movement reminds the ignorant that the Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, holds a sublime status that is not tainted by the mockery of the foolish, nor can the vile diminish his rank. He does not approve of responding to offense with offense, but rather calls for responding with awareness and wisdom, as he taught us through his biography and guidance.
The Syrian Future Movement affirms that the status of Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, is held in reverence by all Islamic sects, and under no circumstances is it permissible to stigmatize any Islamic sect based on individual acts that do not represent it.
The Syrian Future Movement calls on everyone to adhere to the noble Islamic values that promote unity and tolerance, and we emphasize that offending what is sacred leads to the destruction of nations and division of ranks—something we must confront with full responsibility and firmness.
