:From the memory of the Syrian revolution 07/07/2011

On this day in 2011:
Hundreds of members of the Syrian community and Jordanian citizens staged a sit-in in front of the Syrian embassy in the Abdoun suburb of Amman in loyalty to revolutionary singer Ibrahim al-Qashoush and in condemnation of the Syrian regime’s crimes. The protesters also denounced a statement he issued, along with a group of Jordanian media professionals and unionists, in which they declared their support for Syria against the “conspiracy.” They noted that those who held this position did not represent the Jordanian people and would “be drowned in shame.”
