While positive in terms of public services, it cannot be considered a breakthrough or an indication of a fundamental solution to the ongoing crisis between the state and the various groups in Suwaida, given the continued clashes, political and security tensions, and the resulting dire humanitarian situation and civilian casualties.
The Syrian Future Movement calls on all parties to completely separate the educational process from any political or security conflicts and to guarantee a safe and neutral environment for students during their exams, free from tensions and polarization.
The Syrian Future Movement affirms that the true solution does not lie in temporary arrangements, but rather in a comprehensive and serious national dialogue that includes the state and civil and political actors in Suwaida and all governorates, to reach a new social contract that guarantees justice, broad administrative decentralization, genuine participation in decision-making, and the fair distribution of wealth and power.
The Syrian Future Movement concludes its statement by calling on all Syrians to consider the future of their children and to hold fast to education as the only bridge to building a new Syria: a state of law, equal citizenship, and lasting peace.
