Homs governorate’s decision to tackle begging

Syrian Future Movement Based on its commitment to supporting just social policies and promoting human dignity, it expresses its full support for the decision issued by Homs Governorate on June 24, 2025, in the city of Homs, the capital of the revolution, aimed at addressing the phenomenon of begging through a comprehensive plan officially issued by the concerned party, Homs Governorate.

Syrian Future Movement He sees this decision as a promising model for addressing a deep-rooted social phenomenon that requires multi-level intervention, and emphasizes that the effectiveness of this plan depends on the involvement of specialists in sociology, social work and psychology to ensure a deep understanding of the causes of the phenomenon and address its roots, not just its manifestations.

Syrian Future Movement He emphasizes that addressing begging should not be purely security-oriented, but should be based on data-driven interventions and social analysis, utilizing the expertise of specialists who can provide solutions that ensure the effective and dignified reintegration of begging individuals into society.

Syrian Future Movement Calls for expanding the scope of the resolution to include all Syrian regions without exception, with a national approach across political divisions.
