From the memory of the Syrian revolution: 16/10/2011

On this day in 2011: Dozens of people protested in the Yarmouk refugee camp in Damascus in a symbolic funeral for Palestinian youth Alaa Al-Sahli, who was killed the previous day by regime forces during the funeral of the child Ibrahim Sheiban in the Al-Midan neighborhood. A flash protest also took place in the Al-Midan neighborhood, alongside evening demonstrations in the neighborhoods of Jobar and Barzeh Al-Balad. Meanwhile, regime forces arrested dozens during a raid and search campaign in the Al-Qadam and Al-Assali neighborhoods, according to the Syrian Revolution General Commission.
