Syrian Future Movement On the occasion of Public Service Day, recognized by the United Nations General Assembly on June 23, we emphasize the importance of building capable, transparent and effective institutions in Syria after its liberation from the tyrannical regime, as a cornerstone of our national project for renaissance and democratic transformation.
Syrian Future Movement He sees this UN day as an opportunity to highlight the need to rebuild the public administration in Syria in line with UN standards and the Sustainable Development Goals, especially Goal 16 on fair and accountable institutions. In the post-liberation phase, we must establish a new administrative model that puts the citizen at the center of the development process and is based on integrity, efficiency and equal opportunities.
Syrian Future Movement We believe that democratic transition is incomplete without comprehensive reforms in the structure of governance. Therefore, establishing the concepts of public service as a tool to achieve social justice and improve the lives of citizens is one of the priorities of the next phase, as we believe that a free Syria needs a public administration characterized by flexibility and the ability to respond to the aspirations of the people, not to repeat the bureaucratic model that has hindered the country’s development for decades.
Syrian Future Movement Inspired by the UN’s experience in supporting governments around the world to strengthen their administrative capacities through awards and competency building programs, we call for genuine international partnerships to help Syria develop its institutions on the basis of justice, transparency and accountability, as our association with UN values is not only a political necessity, but also a bridge for Syria to reach the ranks of developed countries.
