Regarding Minister Hind Kabawat’s participation in the funeral ceremonies of Pope Francis

The Syrian Future Movement believes that the visit of the Minister of Social Affairs and Labor to the Vatican to offer condolences on the passing of Pope Francis reflects the importance of strengthening international relations and opening up to the world.

The Syrian Future Movement affirms that this step demonstrates Syria’s respect for religious diversity and enhances the country’s image as a state seeking tolerance and coexistence among various religions and cultures.

The Syrian Future Movement stresses that such visits can contribute to strengthening humanitarian and social cooperation with the Vatican, which is considered one of the most prominent supporters of humanitarian causes worldwide.

The Syrian Future Movement believes that Syria’s presence at such international occasions shows the genuine desire of the new leadership to restore its standing on the diplomatic stage, helping us as Syrian political movements to contribute to opening new horizons for international cooperation.

The Syrian Future Movement considers that this visit will further establish the concept of religious pluralism and contribute to shaping the participation of all Syrians in governance while respecting the religious diversity of the Syrian people.
