  • Mohammad Ghassan Aboud was born on August 4, 1967, in the city of Idlib, northern Syria.
  • He holds Belgian citizenship.
  • He is married to Nahed Nabhan and has five children.
  • He earned a bachelor’s degree in Arts, specializing in Journalism, from Damascus University.
  • In September 1992, he moved to the United Arab Emirates, where he initially worked in public relations before founding the Ghassan Aboud Group in 1994.
  • The Ghassan Aboud Group began its operations in trading new cars and auto parts, later expanding into a diverse conglomerate engaged in various economic sectors.
  • In 2018, Ghassan Aboud was named among the top 50 residents in the UAE by Forbes Middle East.
  • In December 2018, his company “Grandiose Catering” won the award for Best Food Supplier of the Year at the F&B Leaders Awards 2018 held in Dubai, UAE.
  • In 2017, he founded “Gallega Global Logistics,” which provides integrated third-party logistics solutions in the UAE and the region.
  • The Ghassan Aboud Group has also invested in pastoral ventures in Australia.
  • He declared his support for the Syrian revolution from its inception, which was reflected in Orient TV, making it one of the most prominent channels supporting the Syrian revolution.
  • In 2012, he established “Orient for Humanitarian Affairs” to provide medical, educational, and social services to many Syrians displaced or injured in the Syrian conflict.
  • The organization has welcomed doctors from international organizations such as the Syrian American Medical Society (SAMS), USAID, and “Hand in Hand” from the UK in 2015.
  • He received the Global Gift Foundation Philanthropist Award in recognition of his humanitarian work.
  • Due to pressures, Orient TV, one of the most significant Syrian channels supporting the revolution and opposing Bashar al-Assad’s regime, was shut down.

At the Syrian Future Movement, in recognition of his successful and remarkable economic history, his support for his people in their revolution against oppression and tyranny, and as an expression of our gratitude to Syria’s great figures and distinguished leaders, we present this week’s Syrian Future Movement Shield to the successful Syrian businessman Ghassan Aboud.
