Political visions vary, and accordingly, movements and parties vary, ranging from right-wing to left-wing to other types of political movements. This diversity undoubtedly enriches and enhances society and is evidence of the integrity of the state. The alignment of goals within the “national vision” remains the guiding force for all these differences, placing them within the circle of healthy, acceptable, and desirable diversity. Thus, the national vision is like a river fed by diverse political paths, which flow into it to strengthen and renew it.
For this reason, it is the duty of politicians and their leaders to preserve their state, free from any political subordination to foreign influence.
Hence, the founders of the Syrian Future Movement seek to “focus on liberating the national vision from political subordination.”
The Syrian Future Movement distinguishes between cooperation based on shared interests with non-Syrian states, groups, and entities, and subordination to them by erasing the national character and shifting it from a framework of equal cooperation to a state of subservient subordination.
The Syrian Future Movement believes in the right of all Syrians, whether individuals or entities, to have regional or even international reach and depth. This should not be considered merely an accusation, treason, or collaboration. Rather, it is a source of strength, a key to relationships that serve the nation, and a bridge between peoples (unless proven otherwise).
The Syrian Future Movement believes that free politicians and genuine entities work in the best interests of their homeland and people. If they deviate from this mission and prioritize foreign interests for political or other reasons, they will be a disaster for themselves and their homeland. This is a major betrayal that must be rejected and held accountable in accordance with the law.
The Syrian Future Movement believes that Syrian political diversity must not deviate from the interests of the Syrian people and the service of the nation. The de facto authorities today have been politically beholden to foreign powers, leading to their own loss and further loss. We are at the most important juncture in Syria’s history, and the time is still ripe to return to the homeland before it is too late.
The Syrian Future Movement believes that the Sykes-Picot borders were not established by the will or desire of the people. Rather, they are a reality that makes breaking away from them and toward transnational political projects a factor in the dismantling of the dismantling process! This is something we reject.
The Syrian Future Movement believes that achieving any noble international goal does not mean the destruction of the homeland or dependence on external forces. There is no success for the whole unless the part succeeds. Therefore, liberating the national direction is a necessity, even for international movements!
The Syrian Future Movement believes that political dependency, whether internal or external, is no less dangerous than external dependency! Internal dependency fragments the people, making them enemies of one another, polarizing them within hostile political projects, and perhaps consolidating them within alliances of defeated minorities or illusory majorities. This undermines both the homeland and the citizen.
The Syrian Future Movement seeks to strengthen and reinforce the national vision and protect it from collapse. It works with all nationalists to build its foundations, and is not afraid of any political orientation as long as it preserves the national vision.
The Syrian Future Movement extends its hand to all Syrian individuals and entities concerned with public affairs, with the goal of strengthening the authenticity of the national vision and liberating it from any internal or external political dependency.
