During his tour in liberated northern Syria, the president of the Syrian Future Movement (SFM), Dr. Zaher Baadarani, delivered the Friday sermon (khutbah) from the pulpit (minbar) of one of the main mosques in the middle of Afrin city, the mosque of the companion Osama bin Zaid. Dr Baadarani spoke about the necessity of preparing the new and emerging generation to be armed with the weapons of knowledge and religion, so they can be the protectors of homelands and guardians of religions.
Dr. Baadarani also mentioned that history records for us the names of men who changed the course of history with their heroic deeds and patriotic and revolutionary positions that align with the teachings of the divine religions and human values. After the sermon, Dr. Baadarani led the funeral prayer (in absentia) for all the martyrs.
The Friday sermon (khutbah) and prayer were attended by hundreds of worshippers, where the mosque and surrounding streets were crowded with them.
Following the sermon, Dr. Baadarani had a meeting with a group of the mosque’s youth where he discussed with them the leadership and pioneering role of the youth in achieving victory and maintaining balance in building the Muslim personality.
