The Syrian Future Movement is closely following various national initiatives aimed at strengthening public dialogue, exchanging expertise, and enriching the discussion on the future of legislative work in Syria. This stems from its belief that building a modern state can only be achieved through responsible dialogue that brings together diverse national competencies and experiences.
In this context, the Syrian Future Movement participated on Saturday, July 25, 2026, in a dialogue session organized by the Syrian Community Observatory Network in cooperation with the Stability Support Unit, entitled: “Legislative Priorities in the Current Stage,” held in Damascus.
The Movement was represented at this event by Ms. Asma Obeid, Deputy Director of the Scientific Office of the Syrian Future Movement.
The session witnessed a distinguished attendance, including several members of the People’s Assembly, academics, legal and legislative experts, as well as community figures interested in public affairs. This diverse participation lent the discussions a sophisticated scientific and practical dimension.
The Syrian Future Movement believes that the discussions held during the session were characterized by a positive and constructive spirit, contributing to important debates on the priorities of the transitional phase and the role of the legislative authority in building a state of law and institutions. This will enhance the chances of enacting legislation that is more responsive to the needs and aspirations of Syrian society.
The Syrian Future Movement affirms that such meetings represent a necessary space for bridging viewpoints, benefiting from national expertise, and strengthening a culture of dialogue and participation in public policy-making, free from exclusion or monopoly, and in a way that serves the supreme national interest.
The Syrian Future Movement also extends its thanks to the organizers for their excellent preparation and organization, and appreciates all efforts aimed at establishing a culture of institutional dialogue. It hopes that such initiatives will continue and that participation in them will expand to ensure broader representation of various national forces and Syrian expertise.
