The Syrian Future Movement extends its sincerest congratulations to all members of the Syrian People’s Assembly who have earned the leadership’s trust during this critical transitional phase in Syria’s history, wishing them success in fulfilling their national responsibilities.
The Syrian Future Movement believes that the formation of the Assembly represents a significant milestone in the process of building the institutions of the new Syrian state. It places upon its members a historic responsibility to consolidate the rule of law, strengthen constitutional life, and meet the aspirations of the Syrian people for a state of justice, freedom, and strong institutions.
The Syrian Future Movement affirms that differing viewpoints regarding the mechanisms for forming the Assembly do not diminish the importance of its success in fulfilling its duties. The true measure will remain the legislation and reforms it introduces, its responsiveness to the concerns of citizens, its contribution to building trust between the state and society, and its role in preparing the country for a democratic phase based on free and fair elections and broad popular representation.
The Syrian Future Movement reiterates its full readiness to dedicate its expertise, resources, and relationships to serving the national interest and to cooperate with various state institutions and political and social forces to contribute to the success of the transitional phase and the building of a modern Syria.
We ask God to grant the members of the council success in carrying this national trust, and to make their work purely for the service of the Syrian people, and that this stage be a firm step towards a strong, just, and prosperous state in which all citizens are equal in rights and duties.
