World Creativity and Innovation Day

On the occasion of World Creativity and Innovation Day, which falls on Tuesday, April 21, 2026, the Syrian Future Movement issues this statement affirming the role of the Syrian mind in shaping the features of the transitional phase:

The Syrian Future Movement believes that innovation is the cornerstone for overcoming the challenges of the transitional phase. It believes that harnessing creative minds is the only way to rebuild human capital before infrastructure, and to transform crises into opportunities for sustainable development.

Based on international reports indicating that the creative economy contributes 3.1% to the global GDP, the Syrian Future Movement adopts an economic vision focused on supporting digital entrepreneurship and raising Syrian innovation indicators to keep pace with the progress witnessed in the Arab region.

Given the Syrian Future Movement’s awareness of the environmental and service-related realities, we call for harnessing green innovation to solve energy problems, utilizing Syria’s natural resources and high levels of solar radiation, to ensure national decision-making independence through energy sovereignty. The Syrian Future Movement places youth and women at the heart of its vision for the future, believing that nurturing their talents and providing a safe legislative environment for creativity is the true guarantee for protecting the National Accord Document and achieving comprehensive economic and social development.

As it commemorates this International Day, the Syrian Future Movement renews its pledge to the Syrian people to remain a platform that fosters every free and creative thought that contributes to building the Syria of the future—a Syria of knowledge, work, and innovation.
