Speech by the Activities and Events Office of the Syrian Future Movement at the Central Ceremony Commemorating the First Anniversary of the Victory of the Syrian Revolution and the Fall of the Assad Regime
Ladies and Gentlemen, Members and Staff of the Syrian Future Movement,
We gather today in the heart of Damascus, the city that endured, resisted, and awaited the moment of liberation, to celebrate together the first anniversary of the victory of the Syrian Revolution and the fall of the criminal regime of Bashar al-Assad.
This gathering is not an ordinary occasion; rather, it is a meeting that forges a new national memory and lays the foundation for a phase in which Syrians rewrite their future with their own hands and their own free will.
What we are experiencing today is the second central meeting of the Syrian Future Movement in Damascus. The first meeting was held in February of this year under the title of the National Workshop, organized by the Syrian Future Movement at the Inana Hotel in the heart of Damascus. That workshop was a foundational event that brought together minds, discussed visions, and defined goals.
Today, at the second central meeting of the cadres and members of the Syrian Future Movement in Damascus and its surrounding areas, we celebrate victory and reaffirm that the real work began after liberation, and that the responsibility of building the state is greater than the battle to overthrow the regime.
Distinguished attendees,
This day is not merely a commemoration; it marks the beginning of an entire era and a roadmap for the future we all desire.
This is a day to reaffirm our belief that Syria is capable of rising again through the determination of its sons and daughters, and that the new state can only be built by our collective efforts.
With the awareness of its elite and intellectuals, and the unity of its grassroots supporters.
On behalf of the Activities and Events Office of the Syrian Future Movement, we announce today that this meeting will be the beginning of a series of regular and expanded meetings, encompassing various regions and including all members of the movement. These meetings will culminate in the selection of directors of the main offices and their deputies, the development of clear action plans, the establishment of strong organizational structures, and the strengthening of our communication with all segments of society.
We will work to complete the building of our backbone for the revival of a unified and unifying national project. We will also work to bring together political and intellectual elites to be part of the new national process and to be genuine partners in any upcoming endeavor, whether administrative, political, or legislative.
Members and members of the Syrian Future Movement,
Our message today is clear:
We are here to be part of building the state, not merely spectators.
We are here to be partners in building humanity, just as we are partners in building the nation.
We are here to say that the victory of the revolution is the beginning of the road, not its end, and that it is our collective responsibility to work without hesitation and to elevate our institutions so that we may be worthy of the trust our people and our families have placed in us.
Let us transform our meetings into action, our action into achievement, and our achievement into a nation worthy of the sacrifices of the Syrian people.
