The Syrian Future Movement strongly condemns the Israeli action that took place on Saturday, November 29, 2025, in which Israeli occupation forces prevented residents of the village of Al-Aisha in the southern Quneitra countryside from accessing their agricultural lands through verbal warnings and direct threats. This constitutes a blatant violation of the 1974 Disengagement Agreement and international humanitarian law.
The Syrian Future Movement views this obstruction as another link in a long chain of practices aimed at turning the occupied and neighboring Syrian territories into dead zones and depriving Syrian citizens of their most basic rights to a dignified life on their land.
We also see this action as a deliberate attempt to exploit the transitional phase that Syria is undergoing after the fall of the Assad regime, with the aim of imposing new realities on the ground before the Syrian state regains its full strength and sovereignty.
The Syrian Future Movement, based on its deep belief in the unity of the Syrian land and people, and its commitment to building a modern, democratic, and civil state, affirms the following:
- The Syrian people’s right to recover all their occupied territories, including the Golan Heights, is an inalienable historical and legal right, not subject to negotiation, and remains a steadfast national objective, no matter how long it takes.
- We categorically reject any policy based on economic displacement, starvation, or preventing farmers from accessing their lands, considering such actions a form of ongoing aggression.
- We call for the documentation of this violation and all similar violations, and their immediate submission to the United Nations, the UNDOF peacekeeping forces, and the Security Council, along with a demand for a transparent international investigation.
- We affirm that the future of relations with Israel can only be built on the basis of mutual respect for sovereignty and internationally recognized borders, and the full restoration of rights. Any talk of “normalization” while the occupation and aggression continue is premature and completely unacceptable.
- We call upon the transitional government to adopt a unified and firm stance that prioritizes the protection of citizens in border regions as a national security imperative, and to develop diplomatic capabilities that safeguard both land and dignity.
The Syrian Future Movement emphasizes that the new Syria we are all working to build will not tolerate a single citizen being deprived of their land, nor will it accept that an inch of its soil remains under occupation. We pledge to God and to our people that we will work through all peaceful, legal, and diplomatic means, in cooperation with all Syrian national forces, until Syria regains its full sovereignty and the dignity of its people.
