Israeli incursion into the town of Beit Jann

The Syrian Future Movement strongly condemns the Israeli military incursion carried out by occupation forces in the town of Beit Jinn in the western Damascus countryside on November 27, 2025, which resulted in the martyrdom and injury of Syrian civilians, including women and children, due to heavy artillery and airstrikes.

The Syrian Future Movement believes that this operation, which the Israeli army described as a “security” operation to arrest suspects, has turned into a direct attack on Syrian sovereignty, resulting in casualties among Israeli forces as well, and reflects a pattern of escalation that threatens regional stability.

The Syrian Future Movement affirms that such violations constitute a flagrant breach of international law and the rights of the Syrian people to live in peace on their land, especially during the transitional phase Syria is undergoing after the fall of the Assad regime in December 2024. This phase requires a focus on reconstruction, strengthening national unity, and building strong state institutions, without being hindered by external aggressions that exploit the temporary security vacuum. Therefore, we see the Beit Jinn incident as a reminder of the importance of protecting Syria’s borders and the necessity of building unified national defense capabilities to deter any attempts at incursion or occupation.

The Syrian Future Movement calls for overcoming the cycle of violence through a regional dialogue focused on sustainable peace. We believe that the Syrian people, who have suffered decades of tyranny and war, deserve a future characterized by stability and cooperation with their neighbors, far removed from policies of escalation.

In this context, we emphasize the importance of engaging with opposition forces within Israel, including political parties and figures who oppose the policies of Benjamin Netanyahu’s government, to curb aggression and open a new chapter based on mutual respect and shared security understandings. We see this engagement as an opportunity to strengthen international efforts to end the occupation and achieve just solutions not only in Syria but also in Palestine and Gaza, moving away from the extremist approach adopted by the current Israeli government. This will contribute to building a safe Middle East for all.

The Syrian Future Movement calls on the international community, including the United Nations and major powers, to intervene immediately to stop Israeli violations and ensure the protection of Syrian civilians, while supporting the transitional process in Syria towards building a truly sovereign state.
