The Syrian Future Movement is closely following the latest developments in the north of the country, most notably the meeting between the Syrian Minister of Defense and the Commander of the Syrian Democratic Forces on Tuesday, October 7, 2025. This meeting resulted in the announcement of a comprehensive ceasefire agreement in areas that have witnessed a deplorable escalation, particularly in the Ashrafieh and Sheikh Maqsoud neighborhoods of Aleppo.
We, in the Syrian Future Movement, welcome this agreement and consider it a first step toward calming military tensions and paving the way for a serious political process that places the interests of Syrians above all else.
We emphasize that the ceasefire should not be temporary or tactical, but rather a prelude to a comprehensive national dialogue that addresses the roots of the crisis and establishes a new phase of stability.
We, in the Syrian Future Movement, call on all parties to implement the historic March agreement between President Ahmed al-Sharaa and Commander Mazloum Abdi, as this agreement constitutes an important political foundation upon which to build sustainable settlements that preserve the unity of Syria, its land and people, and guarantee the political and civil rights of all components.
The Syrian Future Movement believes that the true solution lies in a comprehensive national political settlement that leads to the building of a pluralistic, civil state based on citizenship and justice, rejects exclusion and marginalization, and restores respect for national institutions, free from the logic of hegemony or polarization.
We, in the Syrian Future Movement, extend our hands to all sincere national forces and renew our commitment to working for a free, unified, and independent Syria, where its people can live in dignity and peace.
