The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia announces its continued support for efforts to rebuild the Syrian economy.

The Syrian Future Movement, through its Economic Office, followed up on the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s confirmation of its continued support for efforts to rebuild the Syrian economy, dated September 17, 2025. This was confirmed by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, through an oil grant worth 1.65 million barrels, and by the signing of an official agreement in Damascus between the Syrian Ministry of Energy and the Saudi Fund for Development.

The Syrian Future Movement believes this announcement represents an important development in regional relations and reflects renewed Arab interest in contributing to alleviating the economic burdens that have burdened Syrians over fourteen years of war and destruction.

The Syrian Future Movement affirms its welcome of the Saudi initiative, which comes within the context of supporting the Syrian people and providing the necessary energy needs to operate refineries and public services, thus contributing to improving living conditions. It also emphasizes the importance of directing aid to the Syrian people through transparent and independent mechanisms that ensure it reaches vital sectors, free from corruption or political manipulation.

The Syrian Future Movement calls on Arab countries to strengthen their development and humanitarian presence in Syria, to balance other regional interventions and restore consideration for the Arab role in supporting the Syrian people.

The Syrian Future Movement emphasizes that rebuilding the Syrian economy cannot occur without comprehensive political reform that ensures a safe investment environment and restores confidence in the international community.

The Syrian Future Movement sees this step as an opportunity to reopen channels of Arab cooperation and emphasizes that any external support must serve the Syrian people. The Syria we seek is a Syria of justice, dignity, and sustainable development.
