The Syrian Future Movement is closely following the positive developments in Syria and welcomes the tripartite agreement signed by the foreign ministers of Syria and Jordan, along with the US Special Envoy to Syria, on September 16, 2025. This agreement outlines a roadmap for addressing the situation in the southern province of Sweida.
The Syrian Future Movement views this agreement as an important step toward restoring stability, justice, and reconciliation to the region, following recent challenges that included sectarian clashes and violations that impacted national and regional security.
The Syrian Future Movement emphasizes the importance of implementing the agreement’s provisions, which include accountability in coordination with the United Nations, continued humanitarian aid, compensation for victims, rebuilding infrastructure, securing roads, investigating missing persons, and promoting internal reconciliation among the Druze-majority population of Sweida.
We also support the US role in this context, especially after the decision to lift sanctions in May 2025, which opens up prospects for reconstruction and promoting community peace.
The Syrian Future Movement calls on all parties to adhere to this roadmap as part of an integrated vision for building a future Syria, one that seeks to build bridges of love among all segments of the Syrian spectrum and to promote national unity and regional stability.
