From the memory of the Syrian revolution: 09/07/2011

On this day in 2011:

The people of the Khalidiya neighborhood in Homs mourned the body of young man Muhammad Adeeb al-Karraz, who was killed by regime forces during the “No to Dialogue” Friday demonstrations. The mourners chanted, “With our souls and blood we will redeem you, martyr,” and demanded the downfall of the regime and the accountability of Assad.

Evening demonstrations also took place in several neighborhoods of the city, including Inshaat, Qusour, Qarabees, Jouret al-Shayyah, and Deir Baalba. Protesters chanted slogans such as, “We don’t love you, we don’t love you… Leave us, you and your party,” and “Oh, youth of Damascus, oh, youth of Damascus… The regime has fallen in Homs.”

Sham Network reported that sounds of clashes were heard in the Baba Amr and Bab al-Sabaa neighborhoods of Homs.
