We, in the Syrian Future Movement, welcome this initiative, which embodies the spirit of solidarity and self-reliance and reflects the popular will to build a future Syria based on unity and dignity.
The Syrian Future Movement believes that the campaign, by raising $40 million in record time, has proven that the Syrian people are capable of facing challenges head-on, enhancing economic and social stability and resisting any attempts at secession or partition.
We, in the Syrian Future Movement, see this success as a model to be emulated in other governorates, such as Homs and Aleppo. It affirms that “homelands are built by the hands of their people.” It also expresses widespread confidence in the ability of Syrians to rebuild themselves, free from foreign interference.
To ensure the sustainability of these initiatives, the Syrian Future Movement emphasizes the importance of complete transparency in the management of the collected funds, including how the funds will be spent, who determines and oversees them, and which oversight body will monitor them to prevent corruption or mismanagement.
We believe these concerns are essential to maintaining public trust and call for the establishment of independent oversight mechanisms that include representatives of civil society and expatriates to ensure that donations achieve their stated objectives without any political or administrative involvement that could raise suspicion.
