From the memory of the Syrian revolution:01/01/2013

On this day in 2013: A demonstration took place in the village of Al-Jerthi in Deir Ezzor Governorate. The demonstrators chanted slogans, including “Mother, don’t cry… I came as a martyr… I sacrificed my blood… for dignity.” They raised revolution flags and pictures of several Free Army fighters killed by regime forces in battles. A video clip showed residents of Deir Ezzor city and a number of fighters visiting the city’s cemeteries.
