From the memory of the Syrian revolution: 2011/08/23

On this day in 2011: Syrian regime forces committed a massacre against protesters who had gathered in Al-Saa Square in central Homs to welcome a UN delegation. The Syrian regime demanded that the UN mission leave Homs “for security reasons,” followed by a security campaign to storm the Bab Sbaa neighborhood.
