From the memory of the Syrian revolution: 27/07/2011

On this day in 2011:
At dawn on Wednesday, regime forces stormed the town of Kanaker in the Damascus countryside with tanks and armored vehicles, committing a massacre that resulted in the death of 11 people, according to the “Syrian Revolution Network.” Among the victims were two children, Hamza Issa Yassin (11 years old) and Rahaf Salah Khreyoush (10 years old). Over 200 people were arrested. Additionally, a young man was killed by gunfire at a checkpoint in Harasta. The regime forces sent reinforcements to Zabadani and Mo’adamiyat al-Sham and carried out an arrest campaign in the city of al-Tal.
