The Syrian Future Movement, through a delegation from its Popular Base Office, participated in a dialogue seminar organized by the “Ta’a Mabsoota” Cultural Association on Wednesday evening, August 26, 2026, at the Golden Mezzeh Hotel in Damascus.
The seminar brought together a select group of community figures interested in social, cultural, legal, and service-related issues for an open dialogue that explored the themes of transitional justice and its role in promoting civil peace.
The seminar was opened by the head of the association, Dr. Diana Jabbour, with a welcoming address in which she reviewed the association’s ongoing cultural activities and its goals in supporting the Syrian cultural and social landscape.
Lawyer and human rights activist Jumana Seif, former advisor to the National Commission for Transitional Justice, addressed the topic of “Transitional Justice as a Bridge to Civil Peace in Syria,” reviewing the concept of transitional justice and its implementation mechanisms as a fundamental pillar for building a state of law and institutions.
The symposium featured insightful contributions from attendees, who emphasized the necessity of holding those responsible accountable within the legal framework and working to embody the values of love, brotherhood, and coexistence among all citizens as a foundation for strengthening the national social fabric.
Participants affirmed that transitional justice represents a bridge to national reconciliation, and that its success requires the combined efforts of the state and civil society to ensure that the tragedies of the past are not repeated and to build a future where relations among Syrians are based on mutual respect and equal citizenship.
Representing the Syrian Future Movement at the symposium was Mr. Haidar al-Hammadi, Director of the Popular Base Office.
The Syrian Future Movement emphasizes the importance of these dialogue sessions in establishing a culture of dialogue and community participation, and stresses that it gives special priority to the issue of transitional justice in its national vision for building the new Syria.
