The Legal Office of the Syrian Future Movement extends its sincerest congratulations and best wishes to Attorney Tariq al-Kurdi on his appointment as Head of the Damascus Bar Association. We wish him continued success in fulfilling this national and professional responsibility.

The Legal Office believes this appointment is a well-deserved recognition of his distinguished legal and national career, and a testament to the confidence placed in Syrian legal professionals capable of contributing to the consolidation of the rule of law and the strengthening of the independence of the legal profession. This is especially true given Mr. al-Kurdi’s active participation in the Syrian Negotiation Commission and the Constitutional Committee, as well as his outstanding contributions to transitional justice initiatives.

The Legal Office expresses its confidence that the coming period will witness sustained efforts to improve the situation of the Damascus Bar Association, enhance the independence of the Bar Association, defend the rights of lawyers, and uphold the mission of the legal profession as a fundamental pillar for achieving justice and establishing the rule of law in Syria.
