Good Friday 2026

The Syrian Future Movement extends its warmest greetings and sincere congratulations to the Syrian people, especially the Christian communities that follow the Western calendar, on the occasion of Good Friday (April 3, 2026), a significant religious and national event embodying the highest ideals of redemption and hope.

The Syrian Future Movement views Good Friday—the commemoration of the Passion and ultimate sacrifice of Jesus Christ—as a profound symbol reflecting the reality of the Syrian people. Just as the suffering of this day represents a path toward resurrection, the sacrifices of the steadfast Syrian people will undoubtedly be the bridge to a new, free, and renewed Syria.

The Syrian Future Movement affirms that the values of tolerance, forgiveness, and the rejection of injustice, which this day embodies, are the fundamental pillars we strive to establish in the future Syrian social contract. This will ensure the building of a state of citizenship that does not discriminate among its citizens based on belief or sect, but rather unites them under the banner of truth and justice.

On this date (April 3, 2026), the Syrian Future Movement commemorates the deep-rooted and authentic Christian presence in Syria, considering the church bells ringing today in Maaloula, Saidnaya, Aleppo, Damascus, and all Syrian cities as the enduring voice of Syria’s civilization, a guarantee of our pluralistic national identity.

On this occasion, the Syrian Future Movement reaffirms its vision for the future, based on transforming national suffering into a force for construction and reconstruction. It believes that Syria’s coming dawn will break through the unity of all national components in a single political and economic project that will end decades of tyranny and suffering and achieve prosperity for every citizen.

On this blessed day, the Syrian Future Movement calls upon all Syrian national forces to rally around the values of peace and transitional justice, and to work together to establish the foundations of a homeland where love and brotherhood prevail, and where human dignity is paramount.

May Syria, with its Christians and Muslims, and all its diverse communities, move towards a brighter and more prosperous future.
