The Syrian Future Movement welcomes the positive diplomatic step taken by President Ahmad al-Sharaa on Wednesday, December 10, 2025, in accepting the credentials of:
Ambassador Hamad Rashid bin Alwan al-Habsi, Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to the Syrian Arab Republic;
Ambassador Henry Quston, Ambassador of the Lebanese Republic to Syria; and
Ambassador Khalifa Abdullah Al Mahmoud, Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Syria.
This took place during an official ceremony at the Presidential Palace, attended by the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Asaad Hassan al-Shaibani.
The Syrian Future Movement considers this step an important diplomatic milestone, reflecting Syria’s gradual return to its natural position within its Arab and international environment, and the beginning of a new phase based on rebuilding balanced relations founded on mutual respect and shared interests. Furthermore, the reception of the ambassadors of three brotherly nations on the same day is a clear indication of the growing confidence in the functioning of Syrian state institutions during the transitional phase, and evidence of the regional environment’s readiness to support the path of political stability and economic development in the country.
The Syrian Future Movement affirms that strengthening diplomatic relations and mutual openness are fundamental pillars in restoring Syria’s regional role and supporting efforts to build a modern state based on institutionalism, transparency, and constructive partnerships with its Arab neighbors.
The Syrian Future Movement calls for increased Arab-Syrian cooperation on economic, humanitarian, and security issues, which will bolster the success of the transitional phase, pave the way for reconstruction, improve the living conditions of citizens, and solidify Syria’s position in the regional and international order.
