The Ministry of Energy is settling the files of employees who were laid off from the Idlib Electricity Company.

The Syrian Future Movement welcomes the Syrian Ministry of Energy’s decision to begin regularizing the status of 418 employees who have been absent from work at the Idlib Governorate General Electricity Company since 2019. The movement calls on these employees to complete the necessary legal procedures to regain their employment and financial rights, and to end their absence and its resulting administrative consequences.

The Syrian Future Movement believes this decision represents an important step towards improving administrative performance within state institutions and contributes to rebuilding trust between the government apparatus and its employees. This reflects a serious commitment to upholding the principles of employment justice and the rule of law during the country’s transitional phase.

The Syrian Future Movement emphasizes the need to implement this decision with the utmost transparency and speed, ensuring fair treatment for all employees and preventing any of them from being subjected to arbitrary measures or bureaucratic obstacles. This will guarantee their effective return to their jobs and the resumption of their role in serving public utilities.

The movement also urges the Ministry of Energy to complete the necessary legal procedures to restore their employment and their role in serving public facilities. The Syrian Future Movement calls for expanding this step to include all affected or suspended workers in various state sectors, including vital institutions upon which citizens’ daily lives depend. This should be part of a comprehensive reform plan that addresses the accumulated effects of years of conflict and division and reintegrates national expertise into the state’s reconstruction process.

The Syrian Future Movement believes that investing in national human resources, particularly technical and administrative expertise in the energy sector, is a fundamental pillar for improving public services and alleviating the burdens on citizens. It is a pivotal step in the path to national recovery.

The Syrian Future Movement calls on government authorities to continue this reform approach and issue similar decisions according to a clear timetable that addresses the issues of workers in all governorates. This will strengthen national unity and establish a state of institutions and the rule of law.
