Visit the General Organization for Geology and Mineral Resources

On Sunday morning, September 7, 2025, Mr. Siraj Al-Hariri, Director General of the General Establishment for Geology and Mineral Resources, received a delegation from the Syrian Future Movement, headed by Dr. Zaher Badrani.

During the meeting, an extensive discussion took place regarding the projects supervised by the Establishment throughout the Syrian Arab Republic. These projects include mining studies, marble quarry management and investment, and the extraction of underground mineral resources, including phosphate, silica, salt, iron, and other natural resources of strategic importance.

The visiting delegation was briefed on the Establishment’s future vision, which focuses on promoting intellectual creativity and harnessing national energies by leveraging local and international expertise and attracting Syrian and foreign investors. This will contribute to the development of the geology sector and add value to the national economy.

During the meeting, the Director General emphasized that the Establishment adopts an approach of openness and cooperation and is committed to providing its services to all investors and interested parties, prioritizing technical expertise and experience in addressing the issues and cases raised. He also emphasized the institution’s categorical rejection of any monopolistic or extortionist practices, in compliance with the directives of President Ahmed Al-Sharaa and in an effort to consolidate the principles of transparency and integrity in institutional work.
