Advanced Program for Qualifying Manuscript Indexers at the National Library of Damascus

The Syrian Future Movement, headed by Dr. Zaher Badrani, participated in official workshops held at the National Library in Damascus. A group of researchers who successfully completed the “Advanced Program for the Qualification of Manuscript Indexers” was honored on August 28, 2025. The five-day program served as an advanced scientific platform for the training of specialists in manuscript science, a fundamental pillar of preserving Syrian cultural heritage.

The Syrian Future Movement affirms its unwavering commitment to supporting cultural initiatives that contribute to strengthening national identity and preserving cultural heritage. The movement also expresses its appreciation for the distinguished efforts of the honored researchers, appreciating the prominent role of the professors and supervisors who contributed their expertise to the success of this distinguished program, led by researcher Professor Dr. Mahmoud Sayed Al-Daghim.

The presence of the movement’s delegation, headed by Dr. Badrani, and his accompanying delegation represented a renewed support for initiatives aimed at activating the role of youth and researchers in preserving manuscripts, as they represent the nation’s memory and a bridge of knowledge towards the future. The Syrian Future Movement extends its thanks to the management of the National Library in Damascus for organizing this distinguished cultural event, and we call for the continued organization of programs that enhance the status of heritage and knowledge in Syrian society.
