At a pivotal moment in Syria’s history, following the fall of the regime, Tarek Namo emerged as one of the most influential figures in redrawing the lines of communication between Syria and the world, particularly the United States.
Today, Namo occupies a prominent position in the American political and economic arena. He is a close friend of Senator Cory Mills and the sponsor of the first visit of a US congressional delegation to Syria after the formation of the transitional government headed by President Ahmad al-Sharaa in April 2025. He played a crucial role in arranging this visit, which opened up prospects for cooperation between American institutions and the new Syrian state. What was considered the beginning of a stage of deliberate political and economic openness.

From security to investment…then to the homeland
What distinguishes Tarek Namou’s experience is that he started in the security and counterterrorism sector, which gave him a rare ability to manage crises and assess risks, before moving into the world of investment and reconstruction.
Believing that Syria’s stability is a prerequisite for stability in the Middle East, Namou has been keen to provide direct advice to influential American circles, emphasizing the need to support development investment, education, and technology as a gateway to consolidating peace.
Founder of the Syrian-American Chamber of Commerce
As founder of the Syrian American Chamber of Commerce, Mr. Namo seeks to build trusted investment networks between expatriate businesspeople and the new Syrian state, and is pushing for the launch of the “Smart City” project as an initiative to reshape the face of modern Syria.
Honors and awards
He has received numerous honors from local governments and major institutions in Florida, in recognition of his economic and community contributions.
We, in the Syrian Future Movement, see in Tarek Namo an exceptional example of a Syrian expatriate capable of combining national loyalty with global effectiveness. We support him and open the doors of full cooperation with all national forces and future institutions in Syria.
Our successes are not only achieved within our borders, but are also written by the sons of Syria abroad with the ink of awareness and loyalty.
