The Syrian Future Movement appreciates the contributions of citizens and volunteers who stood side by side with specialized teams in efforts to contain the fires and support those affected. We believe this popular solidarity reflects the vibrant spirit of Syrians and their solidarity in the face of natural disasters.

The Syrian Future Movement commends the role played by friendly international organizations, which provided technical and logistical support and contributed to accelerating the response and achieving tangible results on the ground.

The Syrian Future Movement calls for learning lessons from this disaster and developing well-thought-out proactive plans to protect forests and natural areas, including establishing monitoring and early warning centers and strengthening community awareness campaigns about the dangers of environmental neglect.

The Syrian Future Movement emphasizes the need for a permanent commitment to preserving Syria’s vegetation cover and continuing reforestation and restoration efforts in affected areas, in partnership with official institutions and civil society.

The Syrian Future Movement expresses pride in Syria’s unified stance in the face of challenges. We ask God to keep the mountains of Latakia green and for Syria, its people and land, safe.
