Syrian Future Movement It followed with deep regret the statements made by some political figures who spoke of “Arab disappointment with the victory of the Syrian revolution” and went so far as to insinuate, and sometimes even declare, the possibility of adopting “non-violent approaches” and “cultural and human rights narratives” in confronting the Zionist project, while promoting the idea that the conflict with the Zionist entity is no longer a viable option, in a dangerous violation of national, national and legitimate constants.
Syrian Future Movement It clearly affirms that any talk about the possibility of “peace” or “normalization” with the usurping Zionist entity is rejected in form and content, and fundamentally contradicts the conscience of the Syrian people and the history of their long struggle against occupation and tyranny.
Syrian Future Movement It strongly condemns this regressive rhetoric that attempts to establish intellectual and political shifts in line with a liquidationist project to be passed in the region under the title of “alternative peace” or “human rights struggle,” at a time when the Zionist killing machine is still committing massacres in Gaza, continuing Judaization projects in Jerusalem, and displacing our people in the West Bank and the occupied interior.
Syrian Future Movement We believe that talking about the “usefulness of the human rights struggle” in the face of a bloody settler entity, in light of the silence on its crimes and the crimes of its allies, only serves the enemy’s narrative and gives it false legitimacy. We see this approach as an unacceptable intellectual and political deviation that does not represent the Syrian people or their revolution:
- Our position on the Zionist entity is a principled position that is not subject to political bargaining, and that we at Syrian Future Movement categorically and definitively reject any peace with this entity, and consider the conflict with it an existential civilizational struggle.
- Palestine will remain our central issue, and there will be no tolerance for those who promote the idea of surrender and acquiescence.
- That the Syrian people, in their great revolution, have never and will never settle for appeasement of the occupier, whatever its form, and that the new Syria will be the backbone of any real resistance, not a bridge for deals.
- We call on all revolutionary and national forces to disavow this suspicious rhetoric and stand united in the face of all attempts to divert the compass or involve the Syrian revolution in suspicious international projects.
Syrian Future Movement The pledge is renewed that a free, pluralistic and democratic Syria will remain on the side of Palestine, against the occupier, and against those who decorate his ugly face.
