The Syrian Future Movement, based on our national responsibility and belief in a renewed vision for Syria founded on the principles of justice, democracy, and pluralism, welcomes Article (14) of the Constitutional Declaration. This article constitutionally guarantees citizens the right to active political participation and the establishment of political parties on national democratic foundations, fostering intellectual pluralism and laying the groundwork for peaceful competition within the framework of the law.
The Syrian Future Movement views this article as a historic step toward strengthening democratic development and recognizing the Syrian people’s right to shape their future through free will and inclusive representation while preserving national unity and state sovereignty. It also dispels all rumors and speculation about the new Syrian administration’s rejection of political parties and movements in the upcoming phase!
The Syrian Future Movement affirms that the activation of this article is inherently linked to Article (13) of the Constitutional Declaration, which guarantees freedom of opinion and expression. Together, these articles form the essential pillars of any genuine democratic system, balancing individual rights with collective responsibility.
While appreciating this progressive constitutional direction, the Syrian Future Movement declares its full commitment to the new legal licensing process. The movement will submit its official licensing application on the very first day of the party licensing law’s enactment, reaffirming our confidence in the shared national framework and our readiness to contribute to fostering constructive political dialogue.
The Syrian Future Movement extends a sincere call to all relevant authorities to expedite the issuance of the law regulating party activities in alignment with Article (14). This law should meet the aspirations of Syrians for a balanced political landscape that respects diversity, ensures transparency, and encourages broad participation in decision-making.
The Syrian Future Movement sees these steps as the beginning of a new phase of national partnership, restoring Syria’s political pluralism and opening doors of hope for all citizens to contribute to political, economic, and social reconstruction under the umbrella of law and constitution.
