The decision to dissolve the military factions and integrate them into the Ministry of Defense

The Syrian Future Movement welcomes the announcement made by the General Command in Syria on Tuesday, 2024/12/24, via its official channels, that all military factions and Mr. Ahmed Al-Shara have agreed to dissolve all factions in a step to integrate them under the umbrella of the Syrian Ministry of Defense

The Syrian Future Movement supports the path of the new Syrian administration in reinforcing the concept of the state, which we consider one of our goals and is included in our foundational documents, particularly the document published on our official website titled: “The Syrian Future Movement and the Characteristics of the State.”

The Syrian Future Movement considers the exclusive control of weapons by the state as a guarantee to prevent any civil war or internal sedition, both now and in the future.

The Syrian Future Movement calls on the countries supporting the military factions to support the new Ministry of Defense to prevent Syria from falling into a new internal military crisis or returning to the era of despised military coups.

The Syrian Future Movement emphasizes the role of the national army in northern Syria, the Free Syrian Army in Al-Tanf, and the southern factions in Daraa and Sweida, in supporting the new Ministry of Defense and integrating within it, as it is the only legitimate institution in Syria.

The Syrian Future Movement bets on the awareness of the Syrians to stand behind and support the state institutions, regardless of the varying perceptions, concepts, and political stances.

The Syrian Future Movement considers the role of the Ministry of Defense crucial in preserving and stabilizing political life, preventing military coups, or the emergence of authoritarianism and tyranny.
