From the memory of the Syrian revolution: 17/11/2011

On this day in 2011: The Damascus Countryside Governorate witnessed demonstrations in several cities and towns, including Yabroud, Misraba, Harasta, Douma, and others. A student demonstration also took place in Daraya, where protesters chanted, “Yalla, leave Bashar” and “Syria wants freedom.” Police station personnel in Yabroud opened fire on demonstrators demanding the release of detained women, resulting in injuries. The city’s residents staged a sit-in outside Al-Amal Hospital in Yabroud to protect the injured from being arrested.
