From the memory of the Syrian revolution: 03/11/2011

On this day in 2011: Evening demonstrations took place in the city of Idlib and in the towns of Binnish, Khan Shaykhun, Sarmin, and Al-Tah. Student protests also occurred in the towns of Kafranbel, Ma’ar Harmah, Haas, and Kafr Uweid. Protesters carried flags of the revolution and chanted in support of Homs. They held a large banner that read, “We demand the Arab League suspend Assad’s regime’s membership and call for international protection.” The “Sham Network” reported that regime forces fired on the student demonstration in Kafr Uweid, with no reported casualties. Activists broadcast a video showing Al-Mutanabbi High School in Idlib empty of students in response to calls for a strike.
