Expanding the European Union Council The sanctions list imposed on the Syrian regime

The European Union Council issued a statement announcing the addition of three individuals from the Syrian regime to the list of persons and entities subject to targeted restrictive measures by the EU. These measures include asset freezes, travel bans to the EU, and a prohibition on providing funds or economic resources to them directly or indirectly. The new sanctions target three ministers in the government of Mohammad Ghazi Al-Jallali: Minister of Internal Trade and Consumer Protection Louay Imad Al-Din Al-Munjed, Minister of Oil and Mineral Resources Firas Hassan Qaddour, and Minister of State Ahmed Mohammad Boustaji.
