Congratulations on World Teachers’ Day

On October 5th each year, a global day is observed to remind us of the importance of teachers and their role, in accordance with the 1966 UNESCO/ILO Recommendation concerning the Status of Teachers.

The Syrian Future Movement (SFM) emphasizes the need to establish guidelines addressing the conditions of teachers worldwide, setting standards related to education staff policy, employment, training, as well as continuous education programs for teachers themselves, their right to employment, and improving their working conditions.

The Syrian Future Movement (SFM) aims to focus on evaluating, appreciating, and enhancing the role and performance of teachers, especially in Syria, providing an opportunity to address issues related to teachers and teaching, and giving the Syrian society a better understanding of the essential role teachers play in developing society and shaping future generations.

The Syrian Future Movement (SFM) places special attention on the status of those working in education, particularly higher education, given its importance and stature.

The Syrian Future Movement (SFM) aligns with UNESCO’s efforts that the right to education includes the right to a competent and qualified teacher.

The Syrian Future Movement (SFM) calls for raising awareness about the role and importance of teachers as mentors, emphasizing that respect for teachers is key to the overall advancement of Syrian society.

The Syrian Future Movement (SFM) stresses the necessity of incorporating teachers’ perspectives into educational policies and fostering an environment conducive to their professional development.
