From the memory of the Syrian revolution: 25/08/2011

On this day in 2011: The residents of Al-Midan in Damascus held a funeral for Shadi Al-Araq, a young man who was killed by Syrian regime forces’ gunfire during an attack on a condolence gathering in the neighborhood the previous day. The mourners chanted for the martyrs, for freedom, and demanded the overthrow of the regime.
