From the memory of the Syrian revolution: 16/08/2012

On this day in 2012: Residents of Qatana in western Damascus countryside found 60 handcuffed bodies in a landfill on the Ain al-Ridwan road, according to photos and local sources. The Local Coordination Committees reported that these individuals were executed in the field, and identifying them was impossible due to the condition of the bodies. The city also witnessed shelling in the Halala area.
