From the memory of the Syrian revolution: 15/08/2011

On this day in 2011: Egyptian Foreign Minister Mohamed Kamel Amr reiterated his country’s stance on the “necessity for the Syrian regime to stop the killing and bloodshed, implement what it itself has put on the table, including the abolition of the state of emergency law, the establishment of a new constitution, involving all parties in dialogue, and holding elections according to a specific timeline.” Amr added in an interview with the newspaper “Al-Ahram”: “We want to avoid internationalizing the Syrian issue; the region has had enough of what has happened so far, and we do not want any new internationalization.”
