From the memory of the Syrian revolution: 12/08/2011

On this day in 2011, hundreds of people in Aleppo’s Al-Sakhour neighborhood took to the streets after Friday prayers during the “Friday of We Will Kneel Only to God” protests, chanting for freedom and the downfall of the Syrian regime while supporting the afflicted cities. Syrian regime forces responded with live ammunition and tear gas to disperse the protesters.
