From the memory of the Syrian revolution:06/07/2011

On this day in 2011:
The Syrian regime forces continued their military operations in the city of Hama, resulting in the death of 23 martyrs and over 80 injured. The regime forces also raided Al-Hourani Hospital in search of wanted individuals, leading to the displacement of a large number of residents to the rural areas of the province.

Video footage from that day showed the continuation of the general strike in Hama in protest against the regime’s attacks. Evening demonstrations erupted in the neighborhoods of Jarajima, Al-Bayad, Al-Sharqiya, and Al-Jalaa in Hama, as well as in the towns and villages of Kafr Zita, Taybat Al-Imam, Kafr Nabudah, Halfaya, Al-Lataminah, and Karnaz. The residents of Qalaat al-Madiq held a funeral for the young man Mohammed Hussein Shehab, who died from his injuries after being shot by Shabiha in Hama.
