On this day in 2012: The formation of the “Al-Tawhid Brigade” in Aleppo, which included “Ahrar al-Shamal Brigade,” “Darat Izza Brigade,” “Qubtan al-Jabal Brigade,” “Shahba Battalions,” and other brigades and battalions. The brigade brought together the majority of the Free Syrian Army battalions in the northern and western rural areas of Aleppo.
