Completion of the “Mental Health and Psychosocial Support” training

The Syrian Future Movement (SFM) Completes Training in Mental Health and Psychosocial Support

The Syrian Future Movement (SFM) has completed a new training titled “Mental Health and Psychosocial Support” in the seventh month of 2024.
☆ The training targeted a number of teachers and university students, totaling 16 trainees, both male and female, with an average of 15 training hours distributed over 4 days.
☆ The goal and purpose of launching the training: Building the capacities of Syrian youth in the field of psychosocial support.
☆ Type of training: Physical, as the trainees came to the office of the Syrian Future Movement (SFM) in the city of A’azaz, north of Aleppo, and learned the following skills:

  1. Terms and concepts of work
  2. Workers in the field of psychosocial support
  3. Needs and intervention pyramid
  4. Understanding problems
  5. Common mental disorders
  6. Basic helping skills

The training concluded at the end of the fourth day and achieved its objectives, by conducting a survey of the trainees through training evaluation:

  • The location
  • The scientific material
  • The trainer
    Each trainee wrote their evaluation on a feedback form that included the positives and negatives of the training and the challenges it faced.
