Knowledge is a light that illuminates the paths of life, clarifying both the mind and the soul. So, be people of knowledge and understanding in your countries, for nations are built only on sound minds and thinking brains. Learn not just to obtain degrees and ranks! But to be the builders of the present and the pillars of the future, and learn from every science what is beneficial and constructive, and from every experience what sharpens the mind and enriches it.
Benefit from the knowledge of those before you and do not overlook the innovations of those to come, and maintain high morals, for knowledge without ethics is like a tree without roots!
And know that the path of knowledge is arduous, but its fruits are great.
I also advise you to embrace the humility of scholars, for the more you increase in knowledge, the greater your responsibility towards yourselves, your country, and your nation.
And may God have mercy on Al-Shafi’i when he said:
The worth of a young man, by God, is in knowledge and piety,
If they are absent, his worth is not considered.
